Advisory Board

The CDP’s advisory board plays a central role in determining the organisation’s focus and direction. The board consists of individuals with a broad range of relevant skills and experience:

Dr Armando Barrientos – Research Director of the Brooks World Poverty Institute at the University of Manchester, Dr Barrientos has extensive experience in development research and  has acted as an adviser to the ILO, the World Bank, DFID and others. 

Andy Bearpark CBE – President of the Africa Progress Panel Foundation, member of the Global Agenda Council on Humanitarian Assistance, and Trustee of CareInternational UK, Andy is also director of NGO Post-Conflict People.

Ruth Daniels – MD of ‘Fat Northerner Records’ and organiser of the Un-Convention music festival. Ruther is former nominee for young UK music entrepreneur of the year.

Brendan Dawes - Brendan is MD of one of the UK’s most successful Digital Design agencies, Magnetic North. Brendan is also a successful digital artist and has had his work show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Dave Parrish – Author of T-shirts and Suits creative industries consultant, Dave Parrish has advised international on successful business strategy for the creative sector.
